Being the sneakerfreak that I am, one of my fashion vices is that I have always been too lazy to wear heels. They make me look weird, they hurt, and the only occasions I have to wear them is to when going out, and I feel awkward dancing in stilettos (heels in daytime in Trondheim is a no-go because of the weather, the fact that I ride a bicycle to school and the horrible state of the sidewalks here). But since this blog is about not conforming to boring fashion standards, I'm willing to give it a go (pun intended). And when I spotted these babies at Slowboat to Mediocrity, I was completely sold! Apparently, they are by Japanese label POTTO, but, as Yui noted on her blog, they are DIYable. All I need is an old pair of Nikes (preferrably patent Dunks), and some cheap pumps (and an ass-kicking studding kit, but such details must be ignored for now...). One of the sneaker stores here in Trondheim have a second hand corner where they sell used sneakers quite cheap, so let the hunt begin!

If the intention of the blog is not to conform, I fear high heels will convey the complete opposite dear. The fashion scene is deprived of people willing to give the heel up. No need to falter. Besides, think about the health issues - when has a pair of heels aided a person's back or knees?
